About

From bench science to industrial manufacturing.

Professional experience spans academic research in nanoparticle-based therapeutics and biomedical applications, followed by roles in Manufacturing Science and Technology within the medical device industry.

Current Role

Scientific Expert, MSAT

Merz Aesthetics · Germany

Current responsibilities include technology transfer, process validation and manufacturing scale-up for Class III medical devices such as dermal fillers. Activities are carried out within a cGMP-regulated pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturing environment in accordance with ISO 13485 and 21 CFR Part 820, with emphasis on process transfer from development to commercial manufacturing, process validation and robust manufacturing processes.

International technology transfers

Participation in three international inter-site technology transfers, including coordination of process validation activities.

Cross-functional coordination

Coordination across Quality, Production, R&D and Engineering within multinational matrix teams.

GMP documentation

Preparation of validation master plans, OQ/PQ protocols, technical reports and risk-based assessments.

Lean Six Sigma

Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certified. Experience with DMAIC, Root Cause Analysis and Minitab.

Research

Nanoparticles for sensing and therapy.

Prior to work in regulated manufacturing, positions were held as Scientific Staff at the Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research and as Academic Staff at Ulm University. Research activities focused on the sensing and therapeutic applications of surface-coated nanoparticles, resulting in seven peer-reviewed publications in nanomaterials and biomaterials.
